Fantasy writing is all about the unknown, the unexplored, and the unusual. To create engaging stories, we must step away from reality’s rules and enter the world of possibility. This means being open to the unbelievable, ignoring logical thoughts, and fully embracing the magical.
For example, J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle earth is a great example of creating a detailed world, with its complex geography, politics, and mythology. Tolkien’s creativity took us to a place filled with hobbits, elves, and orcs, which changed the way we think about fantasy stories.

The “what if” question is a powerful tool for fantasy writing. This simple question helps to generate new ideas and storylines. What if magic was real? What if mythical creatures lived among us? What if ancient prophecies had hidden meanings?
