Omo! If you missed the just concluded Xandraly 30 Day Reading Challenge, I honestly dont know what to tell you o.
We laughed, we reflected, we shouted “God abeg!” and we had to pause and highlight whole pages because… the gems were endless! As a community of readers, thinkers, and deep feelers, these 30 days have been nothing short of a mind shift. Whether it was fiction, Christian lit, or wealth books, we were feasting on every chapter!
So, what exactly did we learn? Let me gist you
1. Books Will Find You Where You Are
Reading The One Who Sees Me by Joan Embola was like God personally sending us a voice note through a book. We were reminded that no pain is wasted and that He truly sees us even in hidden places. The conversations this sparked in our group? Healing on another level.
2. Money Has A New Language
Conspiracy of the Rich by Robert Kiyosaki showed us shege and sense. Rich Dad no dey shout, but he will wake you up from financial slumber. We’ve got 8 new rules of money now and trust me, they’re not what your Economics teacher taught you.
3. Nigerian Fiction? Sweet Like Chin Chin! Let’s talk about Adanna and Call Me Legachi by Adesuwa Nwokedi — these girls gave us drama, faith, sisterhood, and resilience. Add Born on a Tuesday to that mix and boom — we were taken on emotional rollercoasters only Nigerian authors can craft so well.
4. Reading Builds Confidence
Showing up daily to read, even if it was just 5 pages, gave us this subtle pride — like, “Wow, I’m doing this!” Some of us hadn’t finished a book in years, and now we’ve finished 2 or even 3 in a month!
5. Community is Everything
There’s something about knowing someone else somewhere is also flipping a page, crying over a plot twist, or noting down an insight that just makes the journey richer. Reading alone is cool, but reading with us? Electric!
So, did you miss this challenge?
It’s okay, we won’t judge (too much ). But just know… another one is coming. And we’re making it even bigger, sweeter, and more soul-stretching.
Would you be a part of it? Or do you want to miss premium book gist again?
